Tip: Upgrading your thermostats can result in increased comfort, lower energy bills, and extended equipment life.

**Increased Comfort:**The temperature sensors on older thermostats become inconsistent as they age and also do not allow you to turn on the system automatically 20 minutes before you arrive home. This added control and programmability allow you to have the home exactly the temperature you want it to be, whether you are in the home or not. Wi-Fi thermostats allow you to tweak settings and controls through a smartphone no matter where you are located.

**Lower Energy Bills:**Switching from a manual thermostat to a programmable thermostat, if set up properly, will result in significant savings on your energy bills. Studies by the EPA suggest that you can save between 8-15% on your energy bills with a new thermostat. This is attributed to the fact that thermostats can be scheduled to decrease usage when you are not at home or during the night.

Extended Equipment Life: Programming your HVAC system's schedule around your life allows the equipment for planned downtime when you are not at home. This reduced workload in off-peak hours results in less wear and tear on the equipment.
